
Flue Gas Plume Elimination and Waste Heat Recovery with Cross-Flow Exchangers
Boilers, dryers and process stacks often discharge warm, moisture-heavy flue gas. Besides wasting heat, that plume condenses into a visible white smoke that neighbours notice and regulators scrutinise. A cross-flow air-to-air heat exchanger attacks both problems at once: it recovers sensible heat and, combined with a condensing section, limits the plume.
Two jobs in one core
The cross-flow plate recovers heat from the flue gas to pre-heat combustion or process air, improving overall efficiency. When the exhaust is cooled below its dew point, part of the latent heat is also captured and the saturated plume is reduced, cutting the white plume at the stack.
