Underground ventilation runs continuously against a large temperature lift. Selection rules specify heat pipe or plate — not rotary — because a sealed, stationary core shrugs off grit and needs no purge sector. Recovered heat cuts refrigeration and heating load deep underground.
Telecom Shelters & Edge Nodes
Server load is a constant heat source; a passive heat pipe trims compressor hours with zero maintenance. The same profile holds at edge scale.
Contaminated & Hazardous Exhaust
Where the exhaust may carry solvent, dust or explosive vapours, the sealed two-phase loop keeps streams fully separated — heat pipes (or run-around coils) are the safe geometry; a rotating wheel is not.
Dehumidification Assist (U-Tube)
A U-tube heat pipe pre-cools intake air ahead of the cooling coil, cutting compressor load by roughly 30%. It is a supplementary measure, not a full total-recovery device, and pairs well with plate or wheel recovery elsewhere in the plant.
